"Saved about 100 a month on a home and 2 auto policy. Deductibles are higher though. Only downfall with State Farm is like most companies, they make their customers deal with a phone app. So you have to order your drive safe units off of the app which is a royal pain to find how to do it. Not too many things can be done via email... It all has to be through the phone app."

"I was looking for one company to provide both auto and homeowners insurance, and Haley Smith was recommended to me by a church member. I found that referral incredibly valuable, as Haley was absolutely wonderful to work with. From the beginning, she was responsive, answered all of my questions and emails thoroughly, and helped walk me through my current coverage, identify areas where coverage may have been lacking, and determine what best fit my situation.
We even discussed life insurance options, but I ultimately decided to forgo that coverage for now. What I appreciated most was that, unlike some companies I’ve worked with in the past, I never felt pressured to accept every service offered. Haley and the team were kind, understanding, and respectful of my decision to move forward with only auto and homeowners insurance. Overall, it was a very positive experience."

"We were longtime State Farm customers—decades, not years. My wife has been insured with them since she was 16, and together we carried multiple policies: three auto, homeowners, and an umbrella.
After several hail storms hit our neighborhood, we saw roofs being replaced all around us. We contacted State Farm to understand next steps, and they even provided three preferred vendors. All three independently told us we needed a new roof and repairs to soft metals. However, the State Farm adjuster determined the damage did not exceed our deductible.
About a year later, another storm came through. A different roofing contractor inspected our home and again found significant damage. Once more, a State Farm adjuster denied the claim.
We spoke with our local agent, who told us our only remaining option was to pursue legal action. We chose not to—we trusted the process and believed State Farm would do right by us. In fact, we continued our relationship and even increased some of our coverage.
Then, unexpectedly, we received a letter stating our homeowners policy was being dropped due to too many unpaid claims.
In the end, we paid out of pocket for a full roof replacement and moved our coverage to another insurer.
Our experience: repeated claim denials followed by non-renewal. Proceed with caution."

We also understand your disappointment that, after multiple wind/hail claims, you received a non-renewal notice. As your agency, we absolutely advocate on behalf of our customers, and we were disappointed as well that our appeal request was not approved.
While we can’t comment on the specifics of claims in a public forum, we hope these points help provide some context:
Claim decisions are based on the policy and the specific damage at the property. Even when storms impact an area similarly, whether damage is covered—and whether it meets the deductible—depends on the facts found during inspection and the terms of your contract. We know this can be especially discouraging when you’re doing everything you can to make progress.
Non-renewal and underwriting decisions are made with the broader risk in mind. Insurance companies have responsibilities to manage risk responsibly and help protect rates for their policyholders. Factors such as claim activity and loss history can affect underwriting decisions, and those decisions aren’t easy for anyone involved.
